With thousands of others in attendance we gathered in the snowy streets of Quebec City with a sense of heightened expectations, a bowl of warm chicken soup and caribou drink to keep us warm.
When the parade finally started the crowd erupted into a cacophony of cheers, horns and hollering. Impressive floats, live bands and talented performers delighted us all. Last but certainly not least was Bonhomme, the official mascot of The Quebec City Winter Carnival, cheering everywhere on, doing leg kicks and giving out hugs to close things off.
Overall, the parade was just the right duration keep in mind the frigid temperatures.
For those looking to attend there are now two Night Parades occurring during the 2nd and 3rd weekends of Carnival.
Bundle up, come prepared with warm food and beverages and be prepared to toot your horn ;)
