I have had many requests to take the TRX-4 out on the backyard rock course, but I wanted a NEW LOOK for my truck. Jem recently built an Axial SCX10.2 truck, but wanted a different body. This left me with a curiosity if the Axial Body would fit the TRX-4 Wheel base. Well, today, I can confirm that indeed it does. I haven't seen this filmed on YouTube yet, and though you would like to have a look!

I used a blank 1/10th scale Jeep Cherokee body, and painted it green. Proudly sporting Axial's colours to be sure - but mounted on the chassis and machine of the Traxxas TRX4 - it just seemed to fit as good as peanut butter and jelly! Hand in hand - this rig looks - and works - spectacular.

I have outfitted my Traxxas Trx-4 with a Tekin RX4 ESC, as well as the new Tekin ROC 412 3100kv Brushless, Sensored, Waterproof Motor.
At the time of this filming, Tekin has just released this ESC and Motor combo, and I was BARELY able to squeeze it in to this truck. The MOTOR is HUGE! On a 3s (11.1v) Lipo battery setup.. I had to control my throttle curve by mere millimetres. I am still using the stock transmitter, and will eventually change it out - but for now, it works very well. I like the selectable differentials, and the two speed transmission.

Everything else about my Traxxas TRX4 is stock. I am still running the stock servo, though I do find it to be underpowered in tight squeezes. The Tekin RX4 ESC has a great BEC (Power Regulator), but not enough jam to really move that servo. The servo itself is the bottle neck. I will change it out before the upcoming RUDE BOYZ RC TTC 2017, filming in just one week! Who's excited for the Annual Tough Truck Competition? Maybe I'll See YOU There! Subscribe and Notify!
