Barbara (also known as Barbie) is 86 years young and the Director of Troubadours, a singing group, ages 60-94, who sings at nursing homes and discovered how music awakens people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Barbie received permission and would like to give credit to the short video used inside her talk. It is ‘Part of the documentary Alive Inside by Michael Rossato-Bennett.' Barbie shined when she had the entire audience singing The Karaoke version cover song Take Me Out to The Ball Game. Look for Barbara (Barbie) Schwartz on You Tube, FB and Instagram. Barbara (Barbie) Schwartz is 86 years young. She is the Director of the “Troubadours” in Cincinnati, Ohio for the past 10 years. They preform songs from musicals and classic favorites that are reminiscent of the past. She is also a part of the Traveling Song and Dance Troupe that performs at senior centers, retirement and nursing homes. You can’t miss her because she lights up the room and is a ton of FUN!
