When I was in Boston in April, I headed out to the suburbs to Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning to catch a lifting session with my good friend Ben Bruno (www.benbruno.com). What follows is a joint-friendly strength-building exercise that requires very little equipment or space.

Bruno recommends completing three rounds of the following six-exercise circuit, doing eight reps of each exercise.

-Reverse Lunge with Valslide
-Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift
-Floor Press
-One-Armed Row
-Step and Press
-Deep Squat Anti-Rotation Arc
