The Bridgestone Battlax refers to the sport family of Bridgestone tires and in this review we will focus on the street versions of the hypersport offerings. Starting with the most aggressive street / track tire in the Battlax line-up the Battlax BT-003 RS (which stands for Racing Street) is a 70% track / 30% street tire. It is designed to be highly grippy, but not as long wearing as some of it's close relatives. If you spend most of your time at the track, but still like the high performance handling when you ride on the street, the BT-003 are the best choice. Next in the Battlax Hypersport Category is the new S20, which is designed to have great wet grip, be higher in mileage, but still offer performance for the occasional track day. Last in the Hypersport line-up is the BT-016, which is the economical sport tire offering from Bridgestone. When the BT-016 was first introduced, it was a great dual compound option that offered long wear and good handling in the corners. For most folks, the upgrade to the S20 is an obvious choice, but for those loyal fans of the BT-016, Bridgestone is still producing them in large quantities.
