Roberts Space Industries Constellation Ship Buyer's Guide
The Constellation Series of Ships is for someone looking at a mid range Multi-Crew Experience. They have variants for Multi-Role, Cargo Transport, Exploration, Combat & Luxury Touring.

All the Constellations come with 6 Months Insurance & the Revel & York Hangar All Constellations wiegh between 80-81K Kg Mass & come with Jump Drives, They are also refered to as Connies

Constellation Taurus
Enjoy the adventure of a multi-crew Constellation on a budget! The Constellation Taurus is a dedicated freighter. Fully configurable but without all the bells-and-whistles, the Taurus is a great way to get started with crewed ships.

She is $150 for the Standalone

The Taurus suits many types of buyer, It has a huge cargo capacity at 1900 Freight Units
so can be used as a cargo transport, she is a great project for a group that want to outfit a multi-crew ship & she is a great entry level ship in the true multi-crew experience.

She has
4 Crew Stations
4x TR4 Engines / Max Size 5
8x TR3 Thrusters
Size 5 Power Plant / Max Size 6

Size 4 Shield / Max Size 5
One of her major disadvantages over the other Constellations is that she has a Max Shield of 5 rather than 6.

Weapons & Hardpoints wise she comes with
4x Class 2 (Gimbal Mounted) Size 3 Lasers / Max Size 4
2x Class 3 (Missile Mounts) Size 1 x14 Missiles
1x Class 5 (Manned Turret) Size 4 Weapons

She is the lightest armed wise of the Constellations, but her price tag and upgrade options, along with her huge cargo size make her an appealing option to anyone who wants a multi-crew ship in the verse!

Constellation Andromeda
The Constellation Andromeda, a multi-person freighter, is the most popular ship in RSI's current production array. Constellations are beloved by smugglers and merchants alike because they are modular, high powered... and just downright iconic-looking.

The Andromeda is an upgrade from the Taurus in equipment & although marketed as the multi-fuction Constellation when compared to the Taurus we see this Connie is suited for combat.

Still coming with those
4x Class 2 Size 4 Lasers
4x Class 3 Size 1 Missile Mounts with 28x Size 1 Missiles
2x Class 3 Size 2 Missile Mounts with 20x Size 2 Missiles
2x Class 5 Size 4 Manned Turrets

That's 4 more missile mounts than the Taurus(34x more missiles) 20 & an extra manned turret

This means the Andromeda also has an extra crew station in the form of this turret bringing it up to 5 crew stations.

Equipment and upgrades wise
1100 Freight Units of Cargo Capacity
4x TR 5 Engines / Max Size 5
Size 5 Shield / Size 6 Max
Size 5 Power Plant / Size 6 Max (better stock model of PP than Taurus)

The stock weapons, extra upgrade options & fighter make this much more suited to Combat roles than the Taurus & is a great choice for a group looking to engage in combat missions and pvp combat.

She is a bit more expensive than then Taurus tho coming in at $225 for the Standalone.

Constellation Aquila
Explore any distant horizons! The Constellation Aquila features a redesigned cockpit for maximum visibility, advanced sensors and an onboard Ursa rover for planetary exploration. Let’s see what’s out there!

This Connie is suited for a group of explorers and more focused on discovering new planets and exploring them.

Equipment Now this is what makes her an explorer
She comes with an Ursa Rover for driving around planets
Long Range Scanners to aide in exploring
& Extended fuel tanks

And finally we look at the Limited Edition Constellation Phoenix.

A dedicated luxury spacecraft for the discerning star captain. The Constellation Phoenix can be operated as an organization command ship and features a luxurious redesigned interior. Includes a hidden sensor-dampened area for your most precious cargo. The Phoenix comes with a Lynx rover and a Kruger P-72 Archimedes Fighter.
