CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Don Julio's the Cascade Township restaurant that ordered a man to leave his service dog in the lobby in defiance of state law, is closed and the phone number disconnected.
It is unclear at this writing if the closure is permanent or temporary.
As Target 8 reported on November 7, Frank Eckl and his family -- including his service dog, Spruce -- went to dinner at Don Julio's. But the manager said the dog had to stay in the lobby.
"She [the manager] said we were more than welcome to stay, but patrons in the restaurant and the manager didn't want dog hair in the restaurant," Eckl told Target 8 at that time. "I was shocked that we were asked to have the dog leave and we could stay."
