This is one of the worse cases we've used.
We do an unboxing, installation and drop test of a Gumdrop Drop Tech case for the iPad mini.
Pros:
1. The textured back is different
2. The packaging looks environmentally friendly
Cons:
1. Installation process was long (and somewhat painful) and there were no installation instructions.
2. The rubber-backing is fairly tight on the iPad that the volume buttons and power buttons were not accessible through the case
Dropping the iPad in this case seemed to keep it "safe" but the iPad would turn off when dropped (we're assuming it's the tightness of the case that causes it). We put the iPad mini back into the Griffen Defender and dropped it a few more times to see if the iPad was fine. It is.
