How to make cabbage rolls or Russian golubtsy at home. Stuffed Cabbage Rolls are one of my favorite comfort foods. Serve with hot tomato sauce and sour cream for a comforting winter meal. Stuffed cabbage or golubtsy (“go-lub-tzy”) in Russian is a dish of Middle Eastern as well as European cuisine. This dish emerged on different continents and at different times under many names, but the essence of it remained the same: put some cooked grains and minced meat in large leave (grape, cabbage etc), wrap neatly and serve. The result is sensational. This recipe serves 4-5 people. It’s a satisfying, filling meal that is bound to lift your spirits.

Ingredients for stuffed cabbage rolls are the following:

3 medium carrots
3 cloves of garlic
Parsley and fresh dill
1 onion
1 red/yellow pepper
1 can of chopped tomatoes
100 gr of white rice
Salt and Pepper
Sour cream
1 egg
1 large cabbage
400 gr of pork mince
500 gr of beef mince

To make these cabbage rolls you will need to do the following:

Step 1: Prepare your cabbage. Do 4 cuts around the cabbage near the core and separate each leave without breaking. If it does don't worry, you can still use it.
Step 2: You can use the microwave and heat the cabbage for 20 min, or you can boil it for 20 min. Take leaves out and drain excess water.
Step 3: Grate the carrots, pepper and chop the onions. Cut parsley with garlic into small pieces and place into the large bowl.
Step 4: Fry the onions with carrots and pepper. Add salt and pepper.
Step 5: Place half the fried mixture into the bowl with parsley and garlic, add rice, egg and meat. Season well and mix until all combined.
Step 6 : Make the sauce. Place the remaining carrot onion mixture into a new pan, add 1 tin of chopped tomatoes and 1 cup of water and boil for 10 min.
Step 7 : Drain cooked cabbage leaves, cut the tough bit on each leaf and place 1 large table spoon of meat mixture. Roll the cabbage from both sides into the rolls.
Step 8: Fry the cabbage roles from both sides for few minutes to give them golden colour. This is optional and you dont have to do it, I just prefer it that way.
Step 9: Place all the cabbage rolls into a deep baking tray and pour over the sauce.
Step 10 : Bake your cabbage rolls in the oven for 40 min at 200 C or 390 F.
Step 11 : Decorate with some fresh dill and sour cream and serve!! Enjoy!

Голубцы, считающиеся ближайшим родственником армянской долмы, являются чисто русским угощением, которое подходит как для повседневной пищи, так и для праздничного стола. Я предлагаю вам самый вкусный рецепт голубцов в классическо-русском варианте.

Ингредиенты для Голубцoв с мясом являются следующие:

3 средних моркови
3 зубчика чеснока
Петрушка и свежий укроп
1 луковица
1 красный / желтый перец
1 банка нарезанных помидоров
100 гр белого риса
Соль и перец
1 яйцо
1 большая капуста
400 гр свинины пропустить через мясорубку
500 гр говядины пропустить через мясорубку

Кочан можно предварительно отварить, целиком погрузив в кипящую подсоленную воду. Варить, пока листья не станут мягкими. Вынуть из воды капусту, дать стечь воде и вырезать кочерыжку (кочерыжку можно вырезать до варки капусты или после варки). Разобрать капусту на отдельные листья.
