Studies are in and intermittent fasting, once touted as the easiest way to lose weight and be super healthy, is not bad, but it's also not that great and offers no benefits over normal eating patterns. Basically, the 16:8 fasting protocol means you fast for 16 hours and eat for 8 hours, or for most people who eat three times a day, this means skipping breakfast. While not bad, fasting offers no benefits over eating in a non-fasting manner except that for some it can help create a caloric deficit.
