Kuli Kuli is a Nigerian snack that is made from dry roasted peanuts/groundnuts ,ground into a paste, mixed with select spices and fried until it hardens.
Ingredients for Kuli Kuli
* 1 Cup dry roasted groundnuts / Peanuts
* half tablepoonful Grated Ginger
*Groundnut /Peanut oil , for frying
Kuli Kuli Making Directions
*Grind or Pound the roasted groundnuts and ginger until smooth. You can make use of a dry mill or mortar. You can also add a little oil to the mill blender as you grind.
*Next, squeeze the groundnut paste to remove as much oil as possible(don't expect to get a lot of oil).
*Mold the paste into any shape of choice... I prefer the circular shape.
* Now heat about 4 cm deep of peanut/groundnut oil in a frying pan or pot, until the oil begins to smoke. ..you can add a few slices of onion or cloves to the oil to give it some extra flavor.
*Add the molded groundnut paste to the oil and fry until it hardens and brownish in colour. Remove from the oil, leave to cool completely. ENJOY!
