The seed for the world is -4530229098322994391 (Java Edition). Please refrain from posting spoilers about the seed, including the location of desirable resources and locations of interest.

With the second villager, it’s all systems go for our settlement. Provided enough trades have been done with both villagers, they’re holding enough food and there are extra beds, it’s only a matter of time before a third villager appears. Care must be taken to make sure the beds you place in the houses are classed as legal for the purposes of villagers – something that is more complicated than you’d think despite how few criteria there are for it – but compared to getting the second villager, sorting that out is simple.

While there are many professions I could have given the second villager, I always find that having a fisherman is the best choice. I tend to have a lot of raw fish to hand from my efforts to fish up enchanted equipment, all of which provides me an immediate influx of emeralds as soon as I get a trade for fish. It’s also very easy to get more emeralds from them when they are masters, for some of their fish trades require only a couple of fish. Fletchers are a close second for easy emeralds due to having sticks as a potential beginning trade, but I prefer fishermen for the variety of trades they offer and how it meshes with what I’m typically doing on quiet days in my minecraft worlds.
