MSI has revised its 5700 XT Evoke OC video card following our earlier criticisms of its thermal pads, having confirmed our findings and working to improve the design.

We're revisiting the MSI RX 5700 XT Evoke OC to test the new thermal pads vs. the old design, looking for improvement to GDDR6 memory temperatures. MSI's original take on the 5700 XT GPU had it running the hottest GDDR6 memory thermals outside of the RX 5700 XT reference card, running dangerously close to over-temperature / overheating protections and GDDR6 TjMax.

The MSI RX 5700 XT Evoke OC original production run can now go back for re-application of new thermal pads, for owners of the existing cards.
