H&H’s Joel Bray and Reiko Caron turned the covered patio at Toronto’s Shangri-La Hotel into a warm, cozy space to relax throughout the winter. They started with the existing modern outdoor furniture and layered in faux fur and deep green velvet pillows, plus plenty of neutral throw blankets, throughout the Bosk restaurant terrace. The three fire pits allowed them to create inviting seating areas, and bringing in a long dining table and wicker benches makes for an ideal spot for communal dining and sipping hot cocoa. Find out how they created a festive DIY tablescape with glass terrariums, fairy lights and pinecones, plus learn how to make long-lasting floral arrangements with eucalyptus and berries. Plus, see how replacing summer ferns with firs, spruces and cedars, plus pre-lit Christmas trees, turned the patio into an enchanted forest with an après-ski vibe.
