Films are what shape us, inspire us and put us all in awe. They even terrify and horrify us. Yet we love them, as they all tell us stories. This talk takes us through the story of DIY Filmmaker, MSN Karthik, who says, "You can tell a great story irrespective of the budget of the film and the size of the crew. All you need is a Vision and the perseverance to pull it off." Karthik is known for his DIY approach to filmmaking which made his latest sci-fi thriller short, 'The Countdown', possible in a frugal budget of under $75. He's an alumni of IIT Guwahati and a classically trained Carnatic Vocalist. He now runs his own film production house called 'Adwhyta', which operates in the genres of travel, adventure, drama and documentary and aims to explore different ethnographies by understanding life in its purest sense.

MSN Karthik is an alumni of IIT Guwahati, where he’d majored in HCI, Usability and UX Design. After his graduation, he went on to work with MNCs and multiple startups, his latest being MindTickle, where he was the Product Manager and Design Lead.
