"We're all webcams now." The Elgato Cam Link asks $130 to take any HDMI video source and turn it into a webcam with no drivers (UVC) for your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.

In this review, I review the Elgato Cam Link and test it with my Panasonic G7, Canon T3i, Canon R500, Linux via OBS & Discord, and compare it to the Logitech C920.
The intended purpose, of course, is for taking your camera - DSLR, Mirrorless, or Camcorder with raw HDMI output - and getting a low-latency uncompressed feed of it to use as a facecam for streaming, or just recording higher-quality vlogs. But you can also use a HDMI splitter and record gameplay with it, too!
