A: Dermalogica Active Moist

Q: How did you become a makeup artist?
A: I practiced on family and friends and started an Instagram page and posted everything beauty related and i guess my passion from makeup just grew from there! I then started charging $20 for a full face of makeup and increased my prices as i increased my skills.

Q: How did you build your clientele?
A: Definitely through IG, I would seriously recommend making a separate makeup account on IG to post all of your client/makeup related photos because most people will find you through there!

Q: What were you essentials when you first started out?
A: Definitely having the right based foundations (yellow, pink and olive) I only had a few shades but what i did was mix them to match the clients skin colour. And also good quality eyeshadows (makeup geek, toofaced, anastasia beverly hills are my favs as you can tell)

Q: Where do you buy american makeup from?
A: Ebay and Sephora! and I use a shipping service (shipitto) to get it to Australia!

Q: Are you self taught?
A: Yep :)

Q: Do you prefer the chill or all nighter setting spray?
A: I use the deslick one for oily skinned clients and the all nighter spray for clients with combo/dry skin x

Q: Where do you buy your LA girl concealers from?
A: EBAY!

Q: How do you become a freelance MUA?
A: Anyone can be a makeup artist, there are no requirements! Believe in yourself and do what makes YOU happy.

Q: How do you clean your brushes?
A: Just with a cheap shampoo and to spot clean between clients i use the cinema secrets brush cleaner. I also use olive oil to get foundation and concealers out of my kabuki brushes.
