Chobe National Park is home to hundreds of thousands of elephants. In fact, our wildlife guide told us that there are 180,000 elephants in Botswana. That's about 10% of the human population of the country.
In general, Botswana is one of the best places in the world to see elephants.
So, we set off this morning on a trip with Kalahari Tours to go spot elephants and do some wildlife photography in Chobe National Park. However, quite amazingly we didn't see any elephants in the morning. Sure, there were lots of hippos. And, there was lots of other wildlife to photograph. But the elephants seemed to have gone into hiding.
In the afternoon, however, we found the elephants. Again, we went on a Botswana safari with my friends at Kalahari tours and they managed to find us a couple small herds on the land. We did manage to get some photos too.
